Hosted by Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal, the 2015 east3ROUTE Investment Seminar took place for the fourth year as a dedicated investment and trade promotion platform. This year saw the seminar being staged as a standalone event in the MahéIsland, Seychelles on the 31st July 2015 due to the geographic location of the island in respect to the other three countries in the bloc.
The Economic Report
The first edition of The east3ROUTE Economic Report was produced in 2013 and launched at the east3ROUTE Investment Seminar & Exhibition 2013, in eZulwini, Swaziland. The Economic Reports contains background information and the history of the east3ROUTE initiative. The report also gives an overview of the political environment of each country as well as the bilateral relations amongst the east3ROUTE member countries. The report gives an analysis of the trade and investment environment looking into the economic environment, sectoral contributions the economy of each country, key exports and key products with potential to be traded between the regions. Investment opportunities are highlighted in the report.
For the 2015 edition of the east3ROUTE Investment Seminar, the economic report will be updated to include statistics and the political and economic environment of Seychelles. The updated report will be launched during the east3ROUTE Investment Seminar 2015.
